I would say that this is a basic recipe or your go to recipe, if you want to have a slice of bakery style banana bread. Yes it is perfect. You never need another one again.

This banana bread is a simple recipe, it has basic ingredients, but the ratio is perfect and gives you a moist full of banana flavour bread.

Bakery Banana Bread Ingredients

All Purpose Flour - Use a combination of plain flour or wheat flour.

Raising Agent - Baking soda and baking powder is added for the lift.

Cinnamon Powder - cinnamon adds nice aroma and flavour to the banana bread The combination of banana and cinnamon is perfect.

Ripe Bananas -use super ripe bananas for the best taste in banana bread. Bananas that are overly ripe is perfect for this.

Walnuts - walnuts adds nice crunch.

Flax Seeds - flax seeds add texture and nice crunch the the banana bread

I added some walnuts and flax seeds in this and it was so delicious. The bread holds really well. You can make it and freeze them for future as well. Just toast them or warm them in microwave and spread some butter over and you have a perfect breakfast on hand.

How to Make Banana Bread Bakery Style

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Grease a 9X5 inch nonstick loaf pan with oil or nonstick cooking spray and set aside. If you have normal pan, oil it well and dust with flour and set aside.
  • Now in a bowl, take flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt and mix well.
  • Now in a bowl, take butter, oil, sugar, and mix well. Add in eggs and beat well.
  • Now add in bananas and mix well.
  • Now add in the flour mix and fold gently, add in flax seeds and walnuts and fold gently,
  • Spoon this into the baking pan and bake for 55 mins to 60 mins.
  • Remove it and cool it down completely. Now unmould it and cool down completely.
  • Slice and serve.

  2. If you store in fridge, you can keep it for a week in a air tight container in fridge. You can warm in microwave for 10 seconds when serving.
  3. If you are freezing banana bread. Cool it down, wrap in plastic wrap and then foil and freeze for more than a month. Thaw it in fridge the day before serving. You can warm in microwave or in toaster.

  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 ¾ cup / 210 grams
  • White Sugar - ¾ cup / 150 grams
  • Baking Powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - ¼ tsp
  • Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - ¼ tsp
  • Eggs - 2
  • Unsalted Butter - ½ cup / 113 grams
  • Oil - 3 tblspn
  • Mashed Ripe Bananas - 1 ¾ cup
  • Walnuts - ½ cup
  • Flax Seeds - 3 tblspn

Instructions

    Hi aarthi, I make this banana bread in two ways one in oven and another one in pan, the pan cake texture was amazing taste was good but the oven cake top layer get crispy texture. Always all the cakes top layer get crispy I don't know the mistake. Can you tell me the reason or any idea about the crispyness of the cake. I use ifb oven.
