\nPeople will either love me or hate me for this, but here's the way I combat those problems. Last time I took advantage of this promotion, I ordered three copies each of the games I wanted. This earned me free shipping, and it also gave me pretty decent odds of getting original game cases. They had to ship from multiple locations to fulfill my order. Then I just cherry-picked the ones that were in the best condition and returned the extras to my local shop. When the store employee asked me why I was returning them, I just said I accidentally ordered three of each somehow. No other questions were asked, and the balance was returned to my Amex. Pretty painless and worth the effort if you are particular about keeping your collection in original cases, as I am. And I feel no shame for working GameStop's system.
