Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1969) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. Known for her five-octave vocal range, melismatic singing style, and signature use of the whistle register, she is referred to as the "Songbird Supreme" and the "Queen of Christmas". Carey rose to fame in 1990 with her eponymous debut album. She was the first artist to have her first five singles reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100, from "Vision of Love" to "Emotions".

She appeared as a guest star in the episode Monkey Business when a pet monkey of hers fell ill and she found herself coming to the office of Dr. Trudy Proud for help. In the process, her monkey ended up switching places with Mr. Chips who got the pleasure to travel around and experience her life of fame and luxury for a few days while her monkey became a trusted ally of Oscar Proud. While she was waiting for Trudy to complete her job, a barrage of young kids and teenagers encroached on Penny Proud as she was working secretary, demanding that she let them in to meet Mariah Carey. Penny tries to lie and say she's not there. However, the reason everyone knew she was there in the first place was because Penny told her trusted friend and ally Dijonay Jones. Dijonay, who is known for having a big mouth and being a gossip, told everyone she knew and almost immediately a large crowd including LaCienega Boulevardez and Zoey Howzer, arrived in sheer excitement, demanding to see the star. To make things more chaotic, Dijonay's younger sisters Tabasco and Paprika Jones used this as an opportunity to make money, and began charging everyone $5 dollars to see her, even though Penny still refused to let anyone in as a means to protect Mariah Carey's privacy and her own mother's place of business so that she would be able to complete her job thoroughly. Carey is approached by Oscar Proud who she recognizes because she knows his voice actor Tommy Davidson in the real world, effectively breaking the fourth wall. Trudy is embarrassed by Oscar's behavior when meeting Carey and desperately tries to put him in check.
