Our Pricing Policy

Our Regular (REG), Original (ORIG) and Market prices are our own offering prices. That means we have offered or will offer the merchandise in our stores or on biglots.com at those prices, though we may not have sold items at that price during the past 90 days or for a majority of sales days, and intermediate markdowns may have been taken. Some of our advertising includes comparison prices, which are references to regular retail or “market” prices of the same or similar items at full-price department or specialty retailers. Where identical items are not available, we compare to products of a highly similar type, quality, style and value. Prices vary among other sellers and change over time, but our goal is always to provide you with a useful comparison based on prices at which we believe substantial sales of the same or a similar item have been made at full-price department or specialty retailers in the area or online.

Big Lots strives to provide accurate product and pricing information, but unintentional pricing or typographical errors may occur. Big Lots reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information (including, without limitation, information related to text, pricing, availability and product descriptions) at any time without notice (including after you submitted your order and confirmation was received). Local, individual store prices and products may vary by location.

In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information, Big Lots shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. If your credit card has been charged for any order subsequently cancelled, Big Lots will issue a credit to your credit card.

Our Prices vs. Our Prices

Big Lots strives to provide low prices at your local Big Lots store, as well as at BigLots.com. Merchandise and promotional offers available online at BigLots.com may vary from those offered in our stores. If you order a product online at BigLots.com and notice that your local Big Lots store price is lower than the online price, in most instances, we will match the lower price. If you find an online price that is lower than your local store price, we will be happy to provide a price match. However, in some instances, Big Lots may offer special promotional pricing that is for online purchases only. Unfortunately in these instances, Big Lots is not able to match prices for “online exclusives.” To request a price match at the time that you purchase an item from Big Lots, notify the Big Lots associate when you check out and provide proof of the lower priced item. Big Lots associates may need to validate BigLots.com prices. To request a price match adjustment after you have purchased an item from Big Lots, you must provide a Big Lots associate (or customer services for online purchases) with your Big Lots receipt and proof of the lower price within 10 days of the date on the Big Lots receipt or purchase order. All available Big Lots discounts (coupons, rebates, promotions, offers, etc.) will be applied before calculating a price match. Big Lots reserves the right to verify competitor pricing and to limit or decline price matches. Decisions of Big Lots are final on all matters of interpretation, fact and procedure with respect to the Price Promise.

Our Price Match Guarantees covers one price match per identical item, per customer, at the current pre-tax price available to all customers.

Our Prices vs. Competitor Prices

If you find a lower price for an identical item at a competitor’s local store, Big Lots stores will match that price. The competitor’s item must be identical in all respects (e.g., the same brand, size, weight, quantity, color, flavor and model number) and have the exact same features, accessories and status (e.g., new or refurbished) as the Big Lots item. The item must be in stock at Big Lots and offered at the lower price by the competitor on the day you request the price match. To request a price match at the time that you purchase an item from Big Lots, notify the Big Lots associate when you check out and provide proof of the competitor’s item and price (e.g., ad or photo). To request a price match adjustment after you have purchased an item from Big Lots, you must provide a Big Lots associate with your Big Lots receipt and proof of the competitor’s item and price (e.g., ad or photo) within 10 days of the date on the Big Lots receipt.
