There is no need to skip the stuffing this Thanksgiving since it’s made with keto bread! This flavorful and delicious keto sausage stuffing will definitely hit the spot.

I like these types of recipes because they really show you that you can make almost anything keto-friendly. All you really need to do is change a few simple ingredients. And you won’t be losing any flavors or textures – this stuffing will taste like traditional stuffing with a lot less calories and carbs.

Keto Sausage Stuffing

Start by preheating the oven to 350F. Place the bread cubes on a large sheet pan and place in oven. After 7 minutes, toss the bread around on the sheet pan. You want the bread to dry out, so check it at about 15 minutes and see if it’s dried.

While the bread is toasting, brown the sausage in a large skillet over high heat, for about 5-8 minutes until no longer pink. Next, transfer the meat into a large mixing bowl. In the same skillet you cooked the sausage in, melt ¼ cup butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, poultry seasoning and sage. Cook over medium heat until tender for about 10 minutes.

Now place the toasted bread cubes, onion mixture, salt and pepper into the mixing bowl with the sausage. Pour broth and the beaten eggs over the top. Gently toss together, coating all of the bread.

Place the stuffing mixture in the dish. Cube the remaining ¼ cup butter into small pieces and scatter over the top of the casserole. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes. Uncover and finish in the oven for an additional 10 minutes.

If you like the top of your stuffing to get crispy and crunchy, you can place the dish under the broiler for a couple of minutes. Yum!

Enjoy this keto sausage stuffing with your next holiday meal. I really like to cook with sausage because it’s so packed with flavors. From appetizers to sides, soups, and more, check out lots more sausage recipes here.
