Going to place an order for the stage 2 cam from Hitchco*cks. It looks very similar to the Tec cam as compaired to the original they did. Hoping to get a little extra out of the little bike for more fun in the dirt. Anyone els tried this one yet or just changed the cam and nothing els and noticed any gain?

Stuart Fillingham mentions this cam on one of his YouTube vid's... I also ordered one for a little more top end gain, alongside the allready installed: FuelX,DNA airfilter and intake plate, and RedRooster exhaust. Should make for a nice packageSTAGE 2 PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFT (4)

Ordering one first thing in the morning with express post to Aus so should have it within 2 weeks. Will keep a post on here when it comes. I do plan and doing the open air filter and fuel x after. Can't do much els though as it's a 2022 Eu5 model.

New cam arrived within 7 days from the UK to AU which is amazing since it takes longer than that for orders to arrive from within Australia. Will fit it this weekend.

Finaly managed to get the cam into the bike and boy was the engine cover stuck on tight with the silicone gasket sealant from the factory. Most of the time doing the job was just getting that off. Will give the new silicone a day to set and test it tomorrow. Had to redo the valve adjustments too as they where tight with the new cam in place. Fingers crossed I've done it all right.

So test ride today after the ten minute break in process and there is a slight noticeable difference at higher RPMs I wouldn't call it a 20% increase but I don't have the open cover yet and it's just by the seat of my pants feeling. But there is certainly something there. Will save and do the open air filter next followed buy the fuel x.

I put one in today, swapping out from Hitchco*ck's first cam. So big-bore, opened airbox and Powertonic, this cam certainly improved from midrange up, a lot more punch. I don't need a dyno to see the improvement, I can feel it.

What's your take on the differences, tacho and seat of the pants wise, between stock cam and the two Hitchco*ck cams ?

The seat of the pants on the stage one cam was a huge improvement over stock, it made the engine a lot more lively from low to mid-range. Now I wouldn't have gone with stage 2 but for a screw-up on my behalf, when I installed the big bore and torqued down the 4 large head bolts the one near the header pipe felt a bit soft in the thread. I should have stopped right there and done something about it but being old, stupid and lacking any common sense I went ahead and buttoned it up and crossed my fingers, should have crossed my legs also cause after a good run enjoying the big bore the old girl was pissing oil like I have pissed outside a pub at 2 am!
So an order had to go to Hitchco*cks for a new head gasket and while I was on their page I thought hell why not so pushed buy on the stage 2 cam.
After drilling and installing a Timesert and counter drilling the hole cause all 4 are like that it was all set to go, I have one good run on the new cam and it really does compliment the big bore immensely, I was running around the mountains just behind my place so no trying out top speed as yet although it does pull up to 70mph pretty bloody quick!

Cheers mate !
Do you reckon both cams have the same approximate mid range ?

Just come back from a ride around the salt lakes off road ( bush bashin ) and there I can see an improvement in the bottom range, a huge improvement mid range and somewhat in-between in the high range. The rear wheel is now much more playfully off road and its breaking traction a lot more when pulling the throttle on. This was the most fun ride I've had put there to date! It's also feels a lot more comfortable at the low rpm's and less like it's lugging which makes the realy soft sand riding much easier

Ok, so a good romp today. As a few of you might know my Himalayan has already been "breathed on", It has a big bore, powertronic, larger throttle body, DNA air filter and opened airbox along with Hitchco*ck's first cam and with that, it all felt pretty good but ran out a bit up high.
All that has now changed with the addition of the Stage 2 cam. I live in CO at over 5000ft and on a good day it was still hard to get 70mph out of the old girl, I mean I have only seen it there a very few times. Today I ventured out onto I25 Interstate to run it down to a Mate's place for him to try it.
Pulled straight up to 70mph and had plenty left, saw 80 mph easily, passing is now a breeze, so much more responsive !!
I really feel this cam is the perfect partner for the big bore.
Calvin, who I was going to see said after he rode it that it didn't even feel close to the same bike and that I'm costing him money as he has to do the same to his Himalayan now.
OEM muffler but a new header pipe with no CAT. I hate noise! lol
Calvin and I both want to finish the TCAT , we only have Vancouver Island to go and will venture up to Queen Charlotte Island to fill up more time, can't wait to see how the Himalayans perform at sea level with these mods but that's a next year thing maybe.

250 miles today in the mountains between 8000 and 10,000ft bloody excellent, this combination really works!

Just placed an order for the fuel x lite, DNA air filter and open cover. Hopefully they will compliment the Stage two cam. Will post an update when I have them and installed.

I already had the DNA filter + plate and Fuel-X lite installed and just finnished the stage2 cam installation yesterday and went for a ride... absolute plesure! verry smooth from 2k revs upward (40kph in 5th!!) and much more punch in the mid-range. Top end revs allows for higher top speed, but still takes time to get there. Passing cars just over 100kph is a breese now, brilliant! Only downside right now is eccessive valve noise, I will re-adjust the valves next week and see what it does... overall verry happy camper!

Mine is due to arrive tomorrow and I can't wait. When I changed my cam and adjusted the valves they where a fair bit louder. I re checked them and I'd let them go just outside of the range on the loose side ( wasn't by much ) so tightened them up a little more and it sounds much better. Now they are to the loose end but still in the tolerances.
