Is there a pattern to the Stalk Market? ›

The spike starts Monday afternoon at the earliest, and Thursday afternoon at the latest. The peak occurs two periods after that (Tuesday afternoon to Friday afternoon). The pattern is characterized by its really large peak which can range between 200% and 600% purchase price.

Each day, the Nook nephews will buy turnips from you at a different price. It's then a gamble as to when you sell them - and what size profit you make.

Furthermore, players have seen that turnip prices differ depending on the time of day as well, and in this case, Wednesday evenings before 8 PM seem to be the best time to sell turnips to earn maximum profits. Therefore, most players try to sell their turnips during this time.

Selling Turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

On every day except Sunday, players will be able to sell their Turnips to Timmy and Tommy in Nook's Cranny. It's very important to do this before the next Sunday, as any Turnips purchased the week before will rot if players still have them on Sunday morning.

Selling prices for turnips vary from as low as 15 Bells a turnip to as high as 990, but prices frequently range between 50 and 200. High investments in turnips that are sold at extremely high prices can quickly turn into several millions of Bells of profit in a few weeks.

Beginning Monday morning when Nooks Cranny opens, Timmy and Tommy will have a price they offer to buy turnips. You will be offered two prices a day. Once when the store opens, then at noon it will change.

Your turnip price pattern resets every time you time travel backwards. If you want to fish out big spike price with TT, follow this method: TT to Tuesday at 11:58 AM and check your price. If the price is not anywhere within the 127-225 range, save and quit.

Although you can sell Turnips throughout the week, it's a good idea to wait until the sell price is at least 50 Bells more than the price you bought them.

Prices change twice a day, once at the beginning of the day and once at noon. I can't stress this enough: sell your turnips on Saturday afternoon, if you haven't already.

Desirable turnip rates start at 150 Bells per turnip (assuming you bought them from Daisy Mae for 90-100 Bells each).
